Commercial Mold Prevention AZ

Mold prevention services have become a common topic for many Arizona home builders and commercial developers. Since mold remediation cost are cumbersome for property owners, property management and real estate investors a like. Many Arizona commercial developers are opting for mold prevention services, rather than the stifling remediation costs for these large commercial projects. Aside from the value and cost savings of prevention services, there are many benefits of these pretreatment services that commercial developers love.
  1. Builders Reputation - Many builders have become loyal patrons of our preventative services, purely based on reputation. They know the value of reputation and how one incident can hinder their reputation and upward trajectory as a builder. It can't be stated enough that the reputation of a builder is directly proportional to the quality and longevity of their work.
  2. Safety - Though most exposures to mold are not severe, the over-all health effects of long term exposure to mold can be a big health concern. As a builder safety for the building occupants is a critical component to take into account. Though building codes may not yet require these preventative measures, it should be common practice in your organization to act before you have to - your customers will respect you for it.
  3. Liability - Settlements for mold related health law suits have cost developers millions of dollars. The only way you can ensure you're never liable for mold related incidences is to ensure you have preventative treatments. You can perform the best practices, but still be vulnerable to mold related liability on behalf of occupant negligence and other external factors.
  4. Savings - Our commercial developers have recorded savings well into the millions amongst their pretreated buildings.
  5. Warranty - With our comprehensive warranty, there is zero risk associated with our mold prevention services.
  6. Inherent Value - A building pre-treated for mold maintains a higher value which can be reflected in your price.

Building Materials

We are commonly asked by Arizona developers what types of building materials are necessary to pre-treat. Based on common building practices of today's age, and modern architecture, you would be hard pressed to come across a building that wasn't under some threat of mold. Presumably, homes and commercial buildings of the past would be more vulnerable to mold, but surprising to most, thats not the case. Due to the way many developers manufacture buildings today and the materials they choose to use, mold is more of a common problem, then in times before.  Certain materials in particular have become particular culprits of housing mold.
  • Lumber - Since most modern developments are framed in wood, there is always a risk of mold, if run off water and other internal moisture is not given appropriate channels to remove itself.
  • Plywood - plywood is a great host to mold due to its low saturation threshold, so water tends to accumulate in puddles leading to condensation and a very hospitable environment for mold.
  • Drywall - A building material used by many modern developers. Made primarily from paper, drywall possesses little ability to retain water, thus creating stagnant water on its exterior. This stagnant water is a perfect breeding ground for mold and makes drywall one of the most susceptible building materials to mold.
  • Particleboard - Particleboard has historically been a common host to mold. Used commonly in flooring, and usually accompanied by other low saturation threshold materials like plywood and drywall, water does not become absorbed in these conditions and typically collects in puddles, leading to condensation and mold.
